Job Description:

With our continued success domestically and globally we are looking for a VP, Institutional Sales to join our Institutional Sales Team.  We are seeking a seasoned professional with sell-side experience to further expand our established presence in the Canadian ETF business.

Job Responsibilities:

The VP, Institutional Sales will play a critical role in developing business and sales opportunities with Canadian buy-side investors and intermediaries.

As a senior member of the team you will have the following responsibilities:

- Represent the business and its products to grow assets under management
- Establish relationships with Institutional Money Managers domestic and abroad
- Proactively adapt to a high performance work environment within the institutional team
- Develop new business relationships and attract new institutional clients
- Identify opportunities and present solutions for clients and encourage them to take action
- Structure trading ideas and investment strategies
- Work with the executive team to form a marketing and sales strategy
- Work with the Marketing and Product team to develop product collateral


To be successful candidates should possess the following:

- Solid understanding of ETFs
- 5+ yrs experience in Institutional Product Sales / Sell-side activities
- Ability to facilitate sales with large institutional asset managers
- Ability to create a positive rapport with clients
- Ability to prioritize, organize and execute sales plans
- Strong presentation skills, organizational skills and market acumen
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
- Completion of a financial services program (ie: CFA, CIM, FCSI, etc.)

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel and PPT
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The desire to work within an effective team to create and build a successful business
