This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s most innovative ETF provider as a Data Scientist. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Data Scientist to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate’s favorite words are learning, data, scale, and agility. You will leverage your strong collaboration skills and ability to extract valuable insights from highly complex data sets to ask the right questions and find the right answers.


  • Analyze sales tracking data to gain insights into market trends, investor behaviour, and competitor analysis related to ETFs.
  • Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict and forecast sales patterns, market demand, and investor preferences.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to optimize data collection processes, ensure data accuracy, and automate data pipelines.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and execute ad-hoc analytical projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and financial markets to continuously enhance the analytical capabilities of the organization.


  • Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or another quantitative field
  • 2 years’ experience working in a data science role preferably in the finance or investment management industry
  • Strong technical and quantitative background
  • Proficient in SQL, Python (or R), Excel, and experience with large datasets, databases and data manipulation and analysis
  • Expert in data visualization – including Tableau for reporting and dashboarding
  • Able to effectively communicate complex data and patterns in a simple format
  • Familiarity with financial data sources such as Broadridge and Bloomberg is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable data driven solutions
  • Attention to detail and highly meticulous and observant in execution of work
  • Work well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment and have excellent communication skills
