Overview:
We are looking for a Head of Talent Management & Organizational Effectiveness to join our dynamic team in the Canadian and Global ETF markets. This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s most innovative ETF providers.
As the leader of the Horizons Talent Management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for elevating employee engagement and experience, aligning talent management and organizational effectiveness processes, programs, and tools to meet the strategic objectives of the firm. This critical leadership role collaborates closely with every department to drive employee success across the organization, fostering a high-performance culture and facilitating collaboration to overcome challenges and achieve results.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the firm’s HR programs and processes for the employee life cycle
- Oversee the design, implementation, and measurement of highly effective, results-driven strategies, measurement, and evaluation tools that enhance organizational performance
- Lead project management efforts including job evaluation and resource planning; process optimization, integration, and digital mapping
- Establish, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Catalyst for excellent employee experience through exceptional communication and truly innovative business-driven initiatives
- Operate with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and discretion, including guarding employee confidentiality
- Conduct talent assessments, benchmarking, industry research, and forecasting to support data-driven strategic decision-making by developing effective programs and processes to attract top talent
- Lead HR technology implementation, process optimization, and change management initiatives
- Identify, organize, and oversee training and educational programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders on various HR projects including employee engagement and performance management
- Create dashboard reporting metrics and present analysis of key data to identify trends, problem-solve and measure the effectiveness of talent management programs and efforts
- Drive a culture of continuous learning, working with business leaders to procure development plans and identify career opportunities for high-performing talent, including development planning, coaching, and assessments
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive human resources experience, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, and/or employee engagement, preferably in the financial or professional services industry
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful talent acquisition and retention strategies
- Highly organized, proven attention to accuracy, detail and an ability to produce high-quality work concisely and effectively under tight timeframes
- Takes initiative, embraces responsibility and pro-actively seeks opportunities to add value
- Experience in digital HR and learning platforms and management systems, implementation experience is an asset
- Brings new insights, enthusiasm, and connections to the role by actively engaging in ongoing learning to leverage knowledge of the market, leading trends and practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and ability to understand broader impact and insights
- Highly effective in forging working relationships with team members, senior leaders, and external partners
- Experience in both large corporations as well as smaller growth-driven environments
