POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Specialist to expand our presence within Canada’s growing community of selfdirected (DIY) investors. In this role, you will develop and execute innovative digital campaigns, oversee our social media presence, and create engaging content that educates, empowers, and inspires investors to take control of their portfolios. You will manage advertising spend, optimize digital assets for visibility, and champion our brand across all digital touchpoints. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative professional who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment and has a passion for connecting with investor communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of your duties, you will be assigned the following responsibilities:
• Grow the DIY investor community by designing and executing targeted digital marketing campaigns aligned with business goals.
• Build brand awareness and market share through innovative, data-driven strategies across multiple digital channels.
• Manage and optimize social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube) to drive engagement and foster community dialogue.
• Plan and implement paid digital advertising campaigns (search, display, social) to attract and convert new investors.
• Create educational and compelling content tailored to DIY investors, simplifying complex investment concepts.
• Optimize website content for search engines (SEO) and conduct keyword research to enhance organic visibility.
• Leverage marketing automation tools to deliver personalized investor experiences and nurture leads.
• Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools, providing actionable insights to maximize ROI and improve community engagement.
• Stay ahead of emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and platforms to keep outreach fresh and competitive.

EDUCATION/ACCREDITATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration or related field;
• Completion of, or enrollment in, a financial services industry program (e.g. CSC, IFIC) would be an asset

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIFIC SKILLS

• 2-4 years of digital marketing experience within financial services, a tech startup or an innovative consumer brand.
• Proven track record managing paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, display ads, social media ads).
• Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce/Pardot preferred).
• Proficient in WordPress, SEO/SEM strategies, Google Analytics, and keyword research.
• Expertise in social media management across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
• Up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends, technologies, and algorithm changes
• Strong skills in MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
• Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• Bilingual in English and French is an asset
