Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income Strategies

Purpose/Objective:

We are looking for a self-starter to join our dynamic portfolio management team in the Canadian and Global ETF Market. This is an opportunity to join Canada’s most innovative ETF provider.

As a key member of the portfolio management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day management for several of our fixed income-based ETF products. This critical role works within the Portfolio Management team to manage all investment-related aspects of the fixed income business and collaborates with the Sales, Product Development, and Strategy teams to support and drive the success of our broader ETF line-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the portfolio strategy for each fixed income-based ETF according to its mandate
  • Coordinate the execution of the strategies with the trading team and executing brokers
  • Closely monitor and analyze market conditions to identify and evaluate opportunities in alignment with business objectives
  • Support build-out of the investment platform to support scaling the fixed income business
  • Collaborate across investment teams in support of improving processes across various mandates
  • Participate in marketing events coordinated by the business development team to help build client interest and understanding of our fixed income-based products
  • Leverage global synergies and collaborate with Mirae Asset global ETF business
  • Assist the product development team in testing new and innovative product ideas

Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience managing fixed income-based strategies in a professional environment, with a focus on index tracking mandates
  • Professional designation in finance with an exceptional understanding of market structure and trading
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to thrive in a high pressure, deadline and data driven environment. Programming proficiency is an asset.
  • Proactive team-oriented mindset with an interest and aptitude to add value outside of core responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills; experience within ETF operations preferred
