Senior Analyst, Investment Operations

Job Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Investment Operations is responsible for the end-to-end operational support of ETF and investment products, ensuring the accurate execution of daily fund activity, trade support, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting. The role operates in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with multiple daily cut-offs.
This role includes issue ownership, escalation management, process improvement, and mentorship of junior staff, while acting as a key operational partner to Investment Management, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, custodians, and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Solid understanding of Capital Markets products and processes including equities and fixed income.
- Oversee and process daily purchase and redemption activity across multiple ETF and investment products in accordance with regulatory and internal timelines.
- Coordinate portfolio settlements, securities settlements, and cash movements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor daily operational workflows, proactively identifying risks, breaks, or delays and driving resolution.
- Validate that daily trading activity has been executed correctly, including block order validation and post-trade reviews.
- Support trade capture and reconciliation of prior-day trading activity, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Identify settlement and trade issues, assess root cause, recommend solutions, and escalate where appropriate.
Skills & Experience:
- 2–5+ years of experience in investment, fund, or ETF operations.
- Strong understanding of capital markets products and processes, including equities and fixed income.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; macros and automation skills are an asset.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or other trading platforms preferred.
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or financial industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

This opportunity is for an existing vacancy within the organization. The anticipated annual base salary range for the Senior Analyst, Investment Operations position is $80,000 to $100,000. The exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and budget.
